Very good condition WWII Russian 91/30 Mosin Nagant PU Sniper Rifle in 7.62 x 54r caliber that has the Izhevsk Arsenal marking on the barrel and dated 1943. Rifle has the original “C in circle” sniper marking on the right side of the barrel shank. Rifle is an original PU sniper, with the importer marking on the receiver correctly set above where the scope mount goes. However, rifle lacks the secondary serial number on the left side of the barrel shank. Rifle is fitted with a reproduction PU Scope on what appears to be an original mount. The mount is matching numbered to the rifle’s serial number, but this appears to be later added. Scope and mount have excellent original blue metal finish and the Scope has clear optics and is complete with leather lens caps. The bent bolt handle appears to be a later done, very professional modification, not factory original. Rifle is import marked on the receiver and has all matching serial numbers including barrel, bolt, floorplate, and buttplate. Metal finish is Russian arsenal reblue, in excellent condition. Bore is a little dark at the muzzle, otherwise bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock was Russian arsenal refinished and shows some normal handling marks. Complete with correct original sling and cleaning rod. A nice, classic WWII Russian 91/30 Mosin Nagant PU Sniper Rifle that will make a fine addition to a collection.
