Good condition WWII German 98k Mauser Rifle in 8mm Mauser (7.92 x 57) caliber that is marked on the receiver with code “42” for manufacture by Oberndorf and dated 1939. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers. Metal finish is reblue showing some wear. Bore is good, bright with strong rifling and a little pitting. Stock was lightly buffed and refinished. Right side buttstock has Luftwaffe “eagle L” property and Waffenamt cartouches. Underside of wrist and buttstock have Waffenamt cartouches. Underside of buttstock also has a matching serial number. Complete with a replaced nonmatching numbered cleaning rod.
