Fine condition WWI French Mle 1907-15 Berthier Rifle in 8mm Lebel caliber that was manufactured under contract by Remington, and has nice manufacturer markings on the receiver and barrel. Rifle was never actually delivered to France and is not serial numbered. Metal finish is excellent original blue. Bolt, sling swivel, and buttplate are original “in the white”. Buttplate and swivel have some brown and gray patina. Buttplate has some pitting. Bore is very good and bright with strong rifling and a little pitting. American Walnut stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. A nice example of a scarce Remington Mle 1907-15 Berthier Rifle that will make an excellent addition to a collection!
