Very good condition WWII Russian SVT 40 semi auto rifle in 7.62 x 54r caliber that has the Tula Arsenal “star” marking on the receiver and dated 1943. Rifle has no visible import markings and all visible matching serial numbers except the magazine. Rifle was originally made as a full-auto AVT and the safety/selector still moves to both positions. However, fires in semi auto only and is legal to own. Metal finish is Russian arsenal reblue, in excellent condition. Bore is very good with strong rifling. Stock was arsenal refinished and shows some normal handling marks. Top of wrist has a crack behind the receiver and a repaired crack. Right side buttstock has “A” and Tula star cartouches. Left side buttstock has a matching serial number. Complete with correct original cleaning rod. A nice WWII Russian SVT 40 for your collection.
