Good condition original antique US Model 1840 flintlock musket in .69 caliber. Lock is marked “SPRINGFIELD” and dated 1842 with the American eagle. Mechanically functions fine. Likely reconverted from percussion back to flintlock. Barrel is marked “02 PP” on the underside. No visible markings above stock line. Metal finish is “in the white” with some gray and brown patina. 42” barrel has a dark pitted smooth bore. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Complete with ramrod. A nice, hard to find US Model 1840 flintlock musket for your collection!
