Very good condition original WWI Japanese army Type 32 cavalry sword that is complete with matching numbered scabbard. Sword is the longer Ko model with a 32 ¾” blade, issued to cavalry, and has nice markings on the guard including the Tokyo Arsenal symbol and dated Taisho “1.6” for June 1912. Blade has nice original bright finish. Guard has gray and brown patina. Wood grip has original finish and no damage. Original leather finger loop is present. Matching numbered steel scabbard is original “in the white” with some brown patina and a few dents. A nice early Japanese Type 32 cavalry sword.
