Good condition WWI Austrian Model 1895 Mannlicher Steyr straight pull rifle that is marked “STEYR M.95” on the receiver ring and “Wn-eagle-16” on the barrel for Austrian acceptance in 1916. Barrel is marked “S” for conversion to 8 x 56r. Rifle is NOT import marked and has matching serial numbers on the receiver, barrel, and stock. Handguard and front band do not match. Metal finish is original blue showing some wear. Bore is good, a little dark, with good rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some handling marks. Right side buttstock has a sharp clear matching serial number. A nice M95 rifle that saw use through both World Wars.
