Excellent condition Finnish Model 1939 Mosin Nagant Rifle in 7.62 x 54r caliber. This very late production rifle is dated 1968 on the barrel. Receiver is marked “AZF” indicating the rifle was assembled using the receiver from a Russian M91 rifle that was captured by the Austrians during WWI then supplied to Finland. Rifle is import marked on the barrel and has matching serial numbers on the barrel and bolt. Floorplate and buttplate do not match, which is common and correct for Finnish rifles. Metal finish is nice original blue showing a little normal wear. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows a few normal handling marks. Complete with correct original cleaning rod and Finnish hang tang. A nice, scarce and desirable late production M39 Mosin Nagant Rifle.
