WWII JAPANESE TYPE 99 ARISAKA RIFLE W/ MUM-MATCHING-24TH SERIES-3 DIGIT SER
Very good condition WWII Japanese Type 99 Arisaka Rifle in 7.7mm caliber that has a full untouched mum on the receiver and was manufactured as part of the 24th Series by Kokura Arsenal. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers including receiver, bolt body, safety, and firing pin. Metal finish is original blue showing some normal wear. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Right side buttstock has green painted stenciled markings with an American name “J.E. HARDY” and something illegible below that which is probably a town. Right side buttstock also has a black painted “36”. Complete with correct original cleaning rod and anti-aircraft rear sight wings. An interesting T-99 with mum and matching numbers.
