Good condition original WWII German NSKK (National Socialist Motor Corps) dagger. This “transitional” example has the Carl Eickhorn “squirrel” trademark on the blade along with corresponding RZM code M7/66 and dated 1939. Blade has original bright finish with a little graying and has been sharpened. Hilt fittings have original bright plated finish with a little flaking. Wood grip has original finish and shows a few normal handling marks. Nice eagle and SA runic inserts. Fitted in correct original steel scabbard that has nice black paint, possibly repainted, and has no dents. A good example of a desirable Eickhorn transitional NSKK dagger for your collection.
