Good condition pre WWII Russian Model 1891 Mosin Nagant Dragoon Rifle in 7.62 x 54r caliber that has Izhevsk Arsenal markings on the barrel and dated 1925. This interesting rifle was captured by the Finns during the Winter War or Continuation War and has the Finnish army “boxed SA” property stamp on the left side of the barrel shank. Rifle has no visible import markings. Bolt was Finn renumbered to match the barrel. Floorplate has a lined-out number. Buttplate is unnumbered. Metal finish is original blue showing some wear. Receiver and barrel shank have some pitting. Bore is gray with some pitting and has good average rifling. Finnish two-piece stock has original Finn arsenal finish and shows some normal handling marks. Right side buttstock has a “DEUTSCHES REICHS” eagle cartouche indicating the rear of the stock was taken from a rifle captured by the Germans during WWI. Complete with correct original cleaning rod. A good example of a Russian M91 Mosin Nagant Dragoon Rifle.
