Good condition US Model 1898 Krag Jorgensen Rifle in .30-40 caliber that is marked “U.S. / MODEL 1898. SPRINGFIELD ARMORY. 216881” on the receiver. Metal finish is original blue showing some wear. Bore is good with strong rifling and a little dark. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Top of wrist has a crack behind the receiver. Left side of wrist has a faint inspector cartouche. Underside of wrist has a “circle P” cartouche. A classic US Army Krag Rifle that will make a great addition to a collection!
