Good condition original WWII German Kriegsmarine (Navy) officer dress sword that has the Carl Eickhorn trademark on the left ricasso. 28 ¾” blade has nice original bright finish and was never sharpened. Brass hilt has nice looking patina. Folding guard works fine. Lion head pommel has intact red glass eyes. Pommel has an added nut to secure the blade. Grip has tight wire wrap and no damage. Fitted in original leather scabbard that has brass throat and tip. Scabbard is a replacement as the throat is set up for a folding reverse guard latch that is not featured on the sword. Leather shows some wear, stitching is tight. Throat is loose. A good representative example of a scarce WWII German Navy officer sword.
