Very good condition antique Austrian Model 1867/77 Werndl Rifle in 11 x 58r caliber. Mechanically functions fine. Lock has an Austrian eagle marking and dated 1872. Barrel is marked “St71” for 1871 acceptance date. Breech ring is marked “WERNDL”. Metal has mostly plum brown patina. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some handling marks. Rifle is unit marked “27.LSt.B.2347.” on the buttplate tang for the 27th Landsturm Battalion. Complete with correct original cleaning rod. A nice Austrian Werndl Rifle that will make a fine addition to a collection.
