Very good condition antique Imperial German Wurttemberg Model 1857/67 Dreyse “needle gun” rifle in 15.4mm caliber. Mechanically functions fine and has intact needle. Metal finish is nice original bright with a little scattered brown and gray patina. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Right side buttstock and underside of buttstock have sharp clear Imperial German proof mark cartouches. Rifle is unit marked “121.R.E.3.77.” on the buttplate tang for the 121st (3rd Württemberg)(Old Württemberg) Infantry Regiment, Ersatz Battalion, Company 3, Weapon 77. Complete with a brass-tipped ramrod. A very rare Dreyse needle gun that will make a fine addition to a collection.
