Very good condition antique Canadian Officer Cadet Mark II** Snider Carbine in .577 Snider caliber. Lock is marked “B.S.A.Co.” for Birmingham Small Arms Company and dated 1865. Breech block is also marked “B.S.A.Co.” Breech ring has model designation marking. Metal finish is original blue showing some normal wear. 19 3/8” barrel has the distinctive Cadet bead front sight. Bore is very good and bright with strong rifling and a little pitting. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Right side buttstock has an “ENFIELD” roundel cartouche. A nice Canadian Cadet Snider Carbine.
