Very good condition original antique Civil War Joslyn Model 1862 Cavalry Carbine in .52 rimfire caliber. Mechanically functions fine and has nice manufacturer/patent markings on the lock and breech block. Lock, hammer, and breech block have brown and gray patina. 22” barrel has nice original blue finish and is complete with original sights. Brass buttplate, triggerguard, and barrel band have deep untouched patina. Bore is good with strong rifling and some dark patches. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Left side of stock has a sharp clear inspector cartouche above the saddle ring. A nice Joslyn Model 1862 Carbine that will make a fine addition to a collection.
