Fair condition original antique Civil War Smith & Wesson Model 2 Army Revolver in .32 revolver caliber. Comes with original factory letter stating it was one of 50 Model 2 Revolvers shipped to J.W. Storrs Co. of New York City on December 6, 1864. Mechanically needs work as the lockup is loose. Metal has brown patina. The sideplate has a poor fit, and the sideplate screw is a replacement. 6” barrel has a good bore that has strong rifling and is mostly bright with some pitting. Rosewood grips have original finish and no damage. Gun has all matching numbers. A good example of a lettered Smith & Wesson Model 2 Army Revolver.
