Very good condition WWII US military M1 Garand semi auto rifle in .30-06 caliber. Receiver was manufactured by Springfield Armory and is serial number 527xxx, which dates it to manufacture in February 1942. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all Springfield parts. Barrel is dated “3-42” for March 1942. Rifle was supplied to Great Britain as part of Lend Lease and has British proof marks on the barrel. Rifle is NOT import marked and has early lock-bar rear sight as well as early bands, follower rod, and trigger housing. Metal finish is nice original parkerized showing a little normal wear, more so on the buttplate. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Left side of stock has a small hairline below the receiver. Left side of stock has faint Springfield Armory inspector and ordnance wheel cartouches. Underside of wrist has a “circle P” cartouche. A rare British Lend Lease marked M1 Garand that will make a fine addition to a collection.
