Good condition original antique Civil War Starr Cartridge Cavalry Carbine in .52 rimfire caliber. 5,002 of this model were produced and delivered in 1865. Mechanically functions fine. Metal is worn to the white, with some gray and brown patina. 21” barrel has original sights. Bore is about good with strong rifling and some oxidation and pitting. Stock has been refinished and shows some handling marks. Left side of wrist has carved letters. A good example of a classic Starr Cartridge Carbine for your collection.
