Very good condition original antique Civil War Spencer Model 1865 Carbine in .56-50 rimfire caliber that was manufactured by Burnside and is so marked on the receiver. Mechanically functions fine. Magazine fit is somewhat sticky. The stabler cutoff has been removed. Metal finish is original blue showing some normal wear. 20” barrel has a good bore with strong 3-groove rifling and some pitting. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. No visible cartouches. A nice Burnside contract Spencer Model 1865 Carbine for your collection.
