Very good condition antique Bavarian Model 1858/67 Podewils breechloading rifle in 13.9mm percussion caliber. Mechanically complete and functions fine. Lock is marked “AMBERG”. Metal is bright with some gray and brown patina and a little pitting. Bore is very good and bright with strong rifling and a little pitting. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Left side of stock has a hairline crack behind the sideplate. Right side of stock has a small crack behind the lock. Complete with cleaning rod and correct original socket bayonet. Bayonet is in very good condition. Has been cleaned bright. Fits rifle well and has a working lock ring. Hard to find Bavarian Podewils Rifle that will make a fine addition to a collection.
