Very good condition original WWI Imperial German Cuirassier “lobster tail” helmet. Shell has original bright finish mostly turned brown patina, and has a few shallow dents. Nice Prussian eagle wappen on the front. Cockades have nice original paint. Maker marked plate inside and size “56” on the rim. Leather chinstrap and liner are supple with some wear. Chinstrap has some flaking. A rare WWI German Cuirassier helmet that will make a fine addition to a collection.
