Very good condition pre WWII Polish WZ 91/98/25 Mosin Nagant Rifle in 8mm Mauser (7.92 x 57) caliber. This is a Russian M1891 Mosin Nagant Rifle that was captured during the Polish-Soviet War and subsequently arsenal reworked, being shortened and converted to 8mm Mauser. Rifle has nice Polish eagle markings on the receiver and barrel. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers except the bolt and floorplate. Bolt has correct original 8mm Mauser bolt head. Built on a 1920 mfg. receiver. Metal finish is nice original blue showing a little normal wear. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Right side buttstock is marked “Z.W.12.37.” which is a December 1937 arsenal marking, along with a matching serial number. Complete with cleaning rod. A hard to find Mosin Nagant variation that will make a fine advanced addition to a collection.
