MATCHING NUMBERS-BOHLER STAHL STEPPED BARREL
Fine condition pre WWII Finnish Civil Guard Model 91/24 Mosin Nagant Rifle that has the Civil Guard marking on the barrel along with “KLP”, indicating it was assembled by the Kymenlaakso Civil Guard Workshop. Barrel shank has “BOHLER STAHL” manufacturer markings under the stock line. The Kymenlaakso Workshop only assembled about 400 Model 91/24 rifles with Bohler Stahl barrels, and this example is in the correct serial range. Rifle is NOT import marked and has matching serial numbers on the barrel and bolt. Buttplate has a lined-out number. Floorplate is unnumbered. Receiver has the “AZF” marking, indicating the rifle it was taken from was captured and reissued by the Austrians during WWI. Metal finish is excellent original blue. Bore is good, mostly bright with strong rifling and a little pitting. Stock has original finish and crisp edges with a few normal handling marks. Right side buttstock has original arms depot cartouche. Complete with correct original cleaning rod and sling swivels. A nice Finn Civil Guard M91/24 rifle with the rare “KLP” marking.
