Very good condition WWI US Model 1917 Enfield Rifle in .30-06 caliber. Originally manufactured by Eddystone during WWI and so marked on the receiver. Reworked for WWII reissue, with a Johnson Automatics barrel installed, which is marked “J A / flaming bomb”. Rifle is NOT import marked. Stock is Remington, otherwise rifle has Eddystone parts. Metal finish is original blued and parkerized, showing a little normal wear. Bore is good with strong two-groove rifling and a little pitting. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Undersides of wrist and forend (in front of the triggerguard) have eagle head proof marks. A nice US Model 1917 Enfield rifle for your collection.
