Very good condition antique Winchester Model 1894 lever action rifle in .30 WCF (.30-30) caliber that is serial number 26xxx, which dates it to manufacture in 1895. Rifle is a desirable takedown model, special order example, with half length magazine, checkered wrist and forend, and shotgun butt with hard rubber buttplate. Rifle comes with original factory letter confirming its configuration and stating it was received in warehouse on October 25, 1897 and shipped the next day. Mechanically functions fine. Takedown mechanism also works fine. Metal finish is nice original blue showing a little normal ear. 26” octagonal barrel has original factory sights, including express rear sight and a Lyman blade/bead front sight. Bore is very good with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Left side of forend has a crack. Wrist and forend have original checkering. A nice lettered, antique Winchester Model 1894 special order rifle that will make an impressive addition to a collection!
