Good condition original pre WWI US Model 1909 bolo machete that is marked “S A” on the left ricasso for Springfield Armory and dated 1910 with a flaming bomb. Right ricasso is marked “U.S.” with a serial number. Blade has original bright finish with some gray and brown patina. Guard is similar, with a little pitting. Wood grips show some wear and handling marks. No sheath. A good example of a classic US M1909 bolo machete.
