Very good condition original Uruguayan Model 1871/94 Mauser Daudeteau Rifle bayonet. This interesting bayonet is similar to the French Mle 1886 Lebel, but has a clearing rod cutout in the left side of the handle. Bayonet was converted to a “fencing” bayonet for training, with a ball tip added to the blade. Blade measures 20 ½” blade has original bright finish with some scattered graying. Guard has original bright finish with some gray and brown patina. Nice white metal grip. Lock button functions fine. No scabbard. A rare bayonet that will make a fine addition to a collection.
