Very good condition original WWI Imperial German army trench fighting knife. Left side of pommel is engraved with an unidentified abbreviation and dated August 1915. 4 9/16” blade has original bright finish and has been sharpened. Left side has engraved motto “Handbereit Ortra”. Nice nickel guard and pommel. Stag grips have a good tight fit and no damage. Fitted in correct original leather sheath that is soft and supple with some normal wear. Stitching is tight. A nice WWI German knife for your collection.
