VERY EARLY-SERIAL #1811
Fine condition antique Winchester Model 1894 lever action rifle in .38-55 caliber that is serial number “1811”, which dates it to manufacture in 1894, the first year of production. Mechanically functions fine. Metal finish is nice original blue with some turning plum brown. Lever retains some strong amounts of the original case colors. 26” octagonal barrel has a very good bright bore with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Right side of wrist has a small hairline by the receiver. Underside of forend has a small chip by the receiver. A nice, very early Winchester Model 1894 that will make an excellent addition to a collection!
