Very good condition WWII US Model 1903 Springfield Rifle in .30-06 caliber that was manufactured by Remington, as marked on the receiver. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all Remington parts. Triggerguard is the rare Type E “Model 1942” sold front variant. Barrel is dated “4-42” for April 1942. Metal finish is nice original parkerized. Bore is good, bright with strong rifling and some pitting near the muzzle. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Left side of wrist has Remington “RA”, “FJA”, and ordnance wheel cartouches, along with a Raritan Arsenal “RA-P” rework marking. Underside of wrist has a “circle P” cartouche.
