BADEN DRAGOON UNIT MARKED-NICE-SCARCE
Good condition antique Imperial German Kar 88 Commission Carbine in 8mm Mauser caliber that was manufactured by C.G. Haenel Suhl in 1890, as marked on the receiver. Carbine is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers. Mechanically complete and functions fine. Unit marked “22.D.4.49.” on the barrel band for the 22nd (3rd Baden) Dragoon Regiment “Prince Charles”, Eskadron 4, Weapon 49. Metal has mostly brown and gray patina. Bore is very good and bright with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Wrist has a few repaired cracks. Right side buttstock and underside of buttstock have Imperial German proof mark cartouches. A nice Kar 88 Carbine with matching numbers.
