Very good condition original WWI Imperial German Model 1914 Mauser sawback bayonet that is maker marked “SAMSON WERK” on the right ricasso and has a Fraktur letter proof mark on the spine. Blade has nice original bright finish. Saw teeth are sharp and crisp. Hilt has original bright finish with some graying. Wood grips have original finish and a good tight fit with some scratches. Lock button functions fine. Fitted in correct original steel scabbard that is in good condition. Scabbard has mostly brown and gray patina with some original green paint remaining, and has a few dents. A nice Model 1914 Mauser sawback bayonet that will make an excellent addition to a collection.
