Very good condition WWII German 98k Mauser Rifle in 8mm Mauser (7.92 x 57) caliber that is marked on the receiver ring with code “42” for manufacture by Oberndorf and dated 1939. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers except the stock, bands, buttplate, bayonet lug, handguard, and action screws. Metal finish is original blue showing some normal wear. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock was arsenal refinished and shows some normal handling marks. Right side buttstock has faint “eagle H” and Waffenamt cartouches. Complete with cleaning rod. A nice WWII German 98k Mauser rifle for your collection.
