Very good condition Norwegian Model 1897 Krag Jorgensen Cavalry Carbine in 6.5 x 55mm caliber that is marked “crown/K” on the right rear of the receiver for Kongsberg Arsenal and dated 1900. Carbine is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers except the barrel band and triggerguard. Handguard is absent. The buttstock sling swivel has been removed and underside of buttstock has a small added drilled hole. The buttplate is an unusual replacement but is matching numbered. The stock may be a commercial Model 1906 Boy’s Training Carbine replacement. Metal finish is nice blue, possibly reblue. Bore is good with strong rifling and a little gray. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. A hard to find Norwegian Krag Carbine.
