Good condition WWII Japanese Type 38 Arisaka rifle that was manufactured as part of the 22nd Series by Kokura Arsenal. This interesting gun was captured by the Chinese and converted to 8mm Mauser (7.92 x 57) caliber. The mum and kanji markings on the receiver ring were removed and replaced with Chinese characters designating the caliber. Rifle is import marked on the barrel and has nonmatching numbers. Metal finish is Chinese arsenal reblue showing some wear. Bore is dark with good rifling and some pitting. Has been counter bored at the muzzle. Stock was Chinese arsenal refinished and shows some handling marks. Right side buttstock has Chinese character markings. Complete with correct original cleaning rod. A hard to find Chinese 8mm Mauser converted T-38 rifle.
