Very good condition WWII Japanese Type 44 Arisaka Cavalry Carbine in 6.5 x 50mm caliber that was manufactured by Kokura Arsenal without a series marking. Gun is NOT import marked and has matching serial numbers on the receiver, bolt body, and safety, and matching assembly numbers on the receiver, ejector box, trigger, and extractor. Otherwise nonmatching. Metal finish is original blue showing some normal wear. There is a little pitting on the floorplate. Bore has a ring near the muzzle, otherwise bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Underside of buttstock has two small kanji character inspector proof marks. Folding bayonet works fine except the lock button doesn’t close all the way in the “folded” position. A nice Type 44 Carbine for your collection.
