Very good condition Chilean Model 1895 Mauser rifle in 7mm Mauser (7 x 57) caliber that has a sharp clear Chilean crest on the receiver ring. This interesting rifle has DWM Berlin manufacturer markings on the side rail and was part of the “C” prefix 4,000 gun contract meant for sale to the ZAR Boer Republic during the Boer War. This block couldn’t be delivered due to the British blockade, and were instead sold to Chile. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers except the bolt, which is an incorrect Spanish replacement. Metal finish is nice original blue showing a little normal wear. Bore is good, somewhat gray with good rifling that shows some normal wear. Stock has original finish and shows some handling marks, scratches, and dings. Underside of buttstock has a Fraktur letter proof mark cartouche. Complete with cleaning rod. A hard to find C Block Chilean M1895 Mauser rifle.
