Good condition WWII Russian SVT 40 Tokarev semi auto rifle that has the Podolsk Arsenal marking on the receiver and dated 1941. This interesting rifle was captured by the Finns during the Continuation War and has the Finnish army “boxed SA” property marking on the left side of the receiver. Rifle was later altered to carbine configuration, with an 18 ½” barrel. Unknown if Finn done while in military service, but the workmanship is good. Carbine is NOT import marked and has nonmatching numbers. Metal finish is original blue showing some wear. Bore is good with strong rifling and a little gray. Stock has original finish and shows some handling marks and finish loss. Right side buttstock has a 1940 dated Tula Arsenal “star” cartouche. Complete with original leather sling. An interesting Finn marked SVT 40 Carbine that will make a fine addition to a collection.
