Fine condition antique Swiss Model 1889 Schmidt Rubin Rifle in 7.5 x 53.5mm caliber that is serial number 136202 which dates it to manufacture in 1893. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers. Metal finish is original blue showing some wear to plum brown patina. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock shows some normal handling marks and a tight hairline at the tang. A good example of an early Swiss M89 Schmidt Rubin Rifle.
