SKI TROOPER MODEL W/ DUAL SLING SLOTS IN BUTTSTOCK
Very good condition WWII Finnish Civil Guard Model 1928 Mosin Nagant Rifle in 7.62 x 54r caliber that has the early Civil Guard “SY” marking on the barrel. Barrel shank has SIG manufacturer markings below the stock line and dated “27” for 1927. Rifle is import marked on the barrel and has matching serial numbers on the barrel and bolt. Floorplate and buttplate do not match, which is common and correct for Finnish rifles Metal finish is original blue showing some wear. Bore is good, bright with good rifling and some light pitting. Stock has original finish and shows some handling marks. Both sides of wrist have a hairline crack by the triggerguard. Desirable early “ski trooper” variant with dual sling slots in the buttstock. Nosecap is missing. Complete with correct original cleaning rod. A nice Finn Civil Guard M28 Mosin Nagant rifle for your collection.
