Very good condition WWII British No. I MK III* SMLE Enfield rifle in .303 British caliber that has partially visible BSA (Birmingham Small Arms Company) manufacturer markings on the right side of the receiver socket and dated 1940. This is an example of a “dispersal” rifle, so named because production was dispersed throughout Britain after German air raids. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers including receiver, barrel, bolt, and rear sight. Nosecap has been reblued and has some pitting under the finish. Otherwise, metal finish is original blue showing a little normal wear. Forend and handguards have original finish. Underside of forend has an Enfield marking. Buttstock has been refinished. The brass unit marking disc in the right side buttstock has Arabic markings. Complete with original web sling. A nice example of a No. I MK III Enfield Dispersal Rifle.
