Good condition pre WWII Yugoslavian Model 1899C Mauser Rifle in 8mm Mauser caliber that has a nice Serbian crest on the receiver ring. This interesting gun was a Model 1899 rifle originally made in 7.65mm caliber as a long rifle, and later arsenal converted to Model 1924 configuration in 8mm. Rifle is NOT import marked and has matching serial numbers on the receiver and stock. Bolt does not match. Original blue finish is mostly worn to the white, with some gray and brown patina. Bore is poor, dark and pitted with worn rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some handling marks. Left side buttstock has a matching serial number. A good example of an uncommon Mauser variation.
