Fair condition original antique pre Civil War US Model 1841 Hall breechloading percussion rifle in .52 caliber that was manufactured by Harpers Ferry in 1842, as marked on the breech block. Mechanically needs work as the trigger is frozen and the hammer spring is broken or missing. Metal has brown and gray patina with pitting throughout. Bore is dark and pitted with good rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. There are some cracks and chips below the breech area. Complete with correct original ramrod. A decent representative example of a hard to find Model 1841 Hall rifle. Only 4,213 were produced.
